I've been a baseball fan for many years, off and on - though the last time I was this obsessed was 1975-1978. I re-discovered the Sox during 2003 and got totally hooked again. Couldn't wait for this season to start. I've been to several games this year and spent WAY too much time online researching the Sox!
(UPDATED: So thrilled that they won the World Series, and especially that my Dad could enjoy it!)
My favorite players in the past were Jerry Remy and Dennis Eckersley. Now of course, Mark Bellhorn. And Johnny, Manny, Orlando, Doug Mientkiewicz and Kevin Millar. Oh heck, I love them all!
I live south of Boston, I'm married with 2 kids, both Sox fans of course- my son's favorites are Kevin M and Curt, and my daughter adores Pedro and Pokey (she is missing them already, but has shown some fondness for Hanley and Ramon!) And of course they both love Manny too!
Besides baseball, I love all kinds of music (lately into metal); watching Law & Order (all of them), Crossing Jordan and Monk; reading and doing crossword puzzles, and being online.

Well I started as a Red Sox fan back in the early 90's for one season. I was a HUGE fan of Tim Naehring. I followed the team for the full season before my attention went elsewhere. Just last year I began watching games again when the Sox went to the playoffs. I was a huge fan again!! Watching the series against Oakland outside of Fenway was amazing! I remember one of the games we won, I had complete strangers running up to me, picking me up and hugging me! Unbelievable!!

My first game of this past season was on Easter Sunday, 13 long innings and it was drizzly but we managed to win! After watching many games from home I decided I needed to get to Fenway for the live action. In the last 2 weeks of the regular season I went to about 6 games, all wins except for 1. Got lucky enough to even see 'Fever Pitch' being filmed!!

This past season has been a great one! I'm proud to say I have only had to wait 21 years to see the Sox become World Champions.. unlike others who have waited the full 86 years!

As for my life, I am 21 years old and live on the North Shore. My favorite players are Mark Bellhorn of course, Gabe "The Babe" Kapler and Manny Ramirez. Other interests of mine are "Sex and the City", watching the Pats, shopping (major shopaholic), live music, and going out to the Boston bars. I can't wait til the next season! Who will stay and who will go? Just a few more months and the craziness will begin yet again!!
